Captain Mike remembers his training days in the US Navy flying the T28 Trojan at NAS Pensacola 1963. The airplane was a loud, powerful, sensitive airplane that threw a huge three-bladed prop and delivered 1500 HP. It was a handful for the young naval aviators that cut their teeth on the unforgiving beast ... but once conquered, it was a favorite ride for most of the student aviators that flew her.
